Just a little Talos design update for tonight

I’m headin’ in for the night, what with my grandparents getting back in tomorrow and all, but I figured I’d post an update for you guys. I’m workin’ on a belated birthday gift for my younger brother, and I’ve been sketchin’ and stuff before I start working on it. You know, for warm up. Tonight I decided to use color (instead of lines) to convey stuff and lay down the mood of a picture, and I ended up workin’ on a new design for Talos. Here’s what I’ve got so far:

I decided to change his chin beard color to better match mine (the hair on my chin is red, the hair in my sideburns is salt-and-pepper, and my mustache/beard hair is blonde like on the top of my head… Don’t ask me how, that’s just how it is.), plus I was getting tired of the placement of his old markings.

...I'll have a couple sketches and stuff to pop on here soon. Since no one seems willing to hire me for the 4th year in a row, I'll just have to do commissions, therefore there will be much sketching and practicing of the arts for me.

Also, I'll start uploading some real life stuff here, since I kinda feel like sharing that, and I prefer it over facebook. (Facebook is a place where I don't post anything because of the people I'm "friends" with on there. Like family. And pretty much everyone else.)

2.) Founding organizer of and Master of Ceremonies for the first Earth Day back in 1970 (Lenin's 100th birthday, btw), Ira Einhorn, murdered his girlfriend and fled the country.

Guys, I'm all for conservation and being good stewards of Creation, but come on. Earth Day's about as bogus as Kwanzaa (who's founder was also a radical ((a Black Panther in this case, not a hippy like Einhorn)) and also had a penchant for beating women).

I now understand why you're held back in public school if you're sick and miss 3 months of school. It's just too much work to catch up on. I've been up to my eyeballs in homeschooling since I was well enough to start schooling again, which explains why I've been scarce on the internet for the past 3 months or so. I'll continue to be this busy probably until my Dad gets home from Afghanistan (read: July). Blargh.

Anyway, I just felt like posting here for some reason, I guess to keep y'all updated, assuming that you care. I got an iPhone 3G a few weeks back, but I didn't even have it for 24 hours because it can't yet send/receive MMS (which consists of about half of all of my daily texting). I miss the iPhone and all, but it's ridiculous that it can't send/receive MMS yet. I mean, come on. So I'm on a Samsung phone now, and it's okay.

Speaking of Apple products, my little green 2G iPod Nano just up and died on me in the middle of a podcast. Oh, and my laptop is going into Geek Squad again, probably for another couple of weeks, so I'll probably be even more scarce than I have been. Oh well. I haven't had much time for art lately, which is a shame, but I do have some sketches that I could probably scan sometime soon.

Neon Genesis Evangelion comic/animation concept... 01

I am excited for my next personal project; my own little spin-off of Neon Genesis Evangelion. It's going to be practice for comic making and animation, all in one, which freakin' awesome practice as far as I'm concerned. I'm not gonna spill the beans just yet, considering that there aren't many beans to be spilled yet.
This is my first Eva prototype unit design. My character will be piloting this 'un, but the other 2 or 3 main characters will be piloting Evas that are equally as neat looking. The only female pilot will be using an Eva with wing assemblies like those on the Mass Production model Evas, and she'll wield a spear. The other male pilot will mainly be equipped with rifles and rockets. :B
It'll even tie into the End of Evangelion story a bit! Did I mention that I was excited? Because I am.

Study Hall sketches

Yeah, I take my laptop to enrichment--just to doodle in study hall on my tablet. It's fun. I was working through a drawing composition book that someone got me while I was really sick. I'm still working through it as part of an "art class" type thing. Also, notice Talos's aversion to being colored... sort of typifies most of my drawings.

I had to draw something tonight or I thought I’d go crazy with the scholarship competition on Saturday morning. Of course I couldn’t finish Carl before I started on someone completely different in the Star Wars gang… oh well. This one is being colored and drawn at the same time, because it’ll turn out to be more of a painting in the end. :] Hopefully, anyway.

Yay for stress! I’ll probably get sick again after getting all worked up and anxious over the scholarships, but… oh well, that should be fine. I’m not doing anything terribly important after that until I have to finish my portfolio for the fine arts scholarship which is, like, next month. And then I think we’re going to Pittsburgh again.

When we went to get me a gewd thesaurus for the competition (I am particular about my thesauri, in that I prefer them to be actually be a thesaurus and not a dictionary/thesaurus, because the latter of the two is more of a dictionary and is very skimpy on the synonyms and antonyms), my mom and I purchased an Astrud Gilberto cd. She’s helping with the stress as only a very fine Brazilian woman with a very nice voice can.

My Take on 3 Flavors of Ubuntu

This is just something that I’d like to toss out there. Of my four virtualized PCs, 3 of them are flavors of Ubuntu (the other is Windows 7 beta). All 3 Ubuntu derivatives are running on 8.10 Intrepid Ibex. Ubuntu and Kubuntu are each running on 1 GB RAM and 128 MB video memory. Xubuntu is running on 256 MB RAM and 32 MB video memory (it still ran perfectly on half those resources, btw).

Here’s my take:

Ubuntu: How the heck do people live with this OS? I’ve read that if you tweak it to the umpteenth degree it’s as good as or better than Windows Vista. I sort of find this hard to believe, but then again, I haven’t tweaked Ubuntu to the umpteenth degree. I don’t really have the time to sift through thousands of software packages to find a bunch of stuff that’s gonna make Ubuntu look a bit nicer, when in reality it should look nice (or at least decent) “out of the box.”

If Ubuntu wants to compete with Windows and Mac OS X, Canonical is going to have to ship it at least looking a lot better than it does. To be honest, I remember Windows 98 SE looking a lot better. By default, GNOME looks like some bubbly, ugly interface literally designed for children. I can see how they’d want to emphasize their “Ubuntu/Linux is way easier to use than Windows”, but the interface isn’t so much “so easy a child could use it” as it is “designed to be eye candy for very small children.”

Anyway, while I personally find it fun to do things the command-line way, I’m sure that most people can’t make heads or tails of it. And that’s probably frustrating for your average user that would like to be able to double click a file to get it to execute, instead of using sudo, navigating to the file directory, and executing the “sh ./[filename.*]” command on their file. Being able to just double-click a file is nicer/easier/faster.

Other than that, I guess it’s okay. If I didn’t want to shell out the money to buy a closed-source OS, then I guess Ubuntu’s an okay way to go. I still have yet to try OpenSuse, OpenSolaris, and Open/FreeBSD, or Fedora, though. They might be better, I dunno.

Kubuntu: Kubuntu is… well, I dunno. KDE is a bit prettier than GNOME, but it’s still kinda… weird? It just doesn’t work for me, I guess. In my opinion it’s very pretty awkward, but I guess some might call it innovative. My favorite part of Kubuntu? The nifty part of the login where it’s loading the file system and such, and it fades the icons in when it’s done with that part of the login process.

My least favorite part of Kubuntu? EVERY OTHER APPLICATION AND IT’S GRANDMA STARTS WITH “K.” Oh my God, that bugged the crap out of me. I couldn’t stand to go through the start-up menu for anything, because of that. I don’t know if it’s my OCD or what, but that was freakin’ annoying.

Xubuntu: I tried Xubuntu in the past on an 8 year old machine, and found it frustrating. Then I tried Ubuntu, and found the same frustrations there (ergo my frustrations stemmed from general Ubuntu stuff, not Xubuntu-specific stuff). I appreciate it much more now that I’ve tried Ubuntu and Kubuntu. Xubuntu is just the way to go, in my opinion.

It’s much faster and more efficient than the other Ubuntu derivatives, it’s not at all cluttered, and it looks nice by default. I no longer have any Xubuntu-specific grievances to hold against it. It’s a fairly viable alternative to modern, closed-source operating systems, especially if you’re using a computer that’s of the older persuasion.

So, um, there you have it. I’ll be uninstalling Kubuntu, and using Ubuntu and Xubuntu a little when they need updating or I find software that I’d rather test before installing on my main OS (Vista SP1). That’s enough Ubuntu-related rambling from me (for now). Ta ta, enjoy your evenings.

Long time no see, eh? I had a sort of relapse with my exhaustion recently, and so I haven’t really been online much at all for nearly the past two weeks. I guess I’m just posting so that anyone who checks back to this blog will know that, no, I’m not dead (yet).

By the way, I figure that I’ll make this more of an actual blog, where I don’t just post art but also rants and ravings and my opinions on stuff (like software, politics, philosophy/theology, etc). A blog, basically.

This started out being just a sketch for me to check how well I knew my muscle groups (my muscle groups... notice the unflattering tummy there), but I think I'll finish it up and make it into a Long Johns gag gift for a friend. Yes, I do see the terrible disproportions, most notably the left shoulder that looks like it's disconnected or something. And the hand that I quickly scribbled in there. Oh, and the skin colors that I slapped on there suck too, I know. Anyway, just a sketch so far.

Praise be, I'm not sick any more! I didn't sleep the night before last, and I started feeling sick about 4:30 yesterday afternoon, so I took a nap. I woke up a few hours later, feeling very sick and queasy. I was too sick to get on the computer and even just say good night to my best bud, so I spent an entire hour typing up a meager good night text (I couldn't look at the screen all that long without feeling like I was gonna ralf, so I'd have to type it up without looking and glance at the screen to make corrections). I feel terrible about that, but I'm sure he had a great, productive night without me.

Anyway, this is just some wolf anatomy practice that I started maybe half an hour ago (?). I want to be an artist, and I'm going into college double majoring in Studio Art and Digital Media/Design. The problem is that I don't have an awful lot of time to do art (I'm doing it instead of normal homeschooling today, woot). I'm going to need to do a lot more practice work before my portfolio is any where near being ready. So right now I'm just scanning some photos of wolves in different poses and sketching their skulls in as best as I can... Practicing on the different angles, foreshortening, etc. Basically just showing myself how I understand the structures involve, and then referencing real skulls to correct my mistakes.

It's pretty fun so far. :] Expect more pictures soon. I don't think I'll take any breaks, aside from talking to my dad when he calls (it's great that he's in Afghanistan, but we still get to talk), and possibly eating. Oh, and updating this with screenshots. Hope you all are having a nice morning.

Not quite finished, especially considering my face in this is SCREWED UP. Look at how out of proportion my smile is from the rest of my features. Halloween falls on a Friday this year. The local school district also isn't having school that Friday. That was not smart - of course, the public school district here isn't known for much of anything other than drugs, gangs/gang shootings, bomb threats, and large teen pregnancy/abortion/felon/dropout rates.

But that's not what this is about. This piece is just basically what happens when I doodle something up in 3 or 4 minutes to some nice Tchaikovsky, when it just so happens to be near my birthday/Halloween. (: Fun, yes?

Yay for vacation and crap. Anyway, a lot of it was fun. Here's some of the stuff that I doodled when I could.Practicing drawing PW in PinoyWolf's cartoony style. His style's awesome.
Once again, I fail at proportions, but at least not terribly this time.I couldn't quite figure out how to draw a certain expression on PW as a canine, so I drew him as a human wearing the expression that I wanted. When I tried it out on the canine version, it didn't look much the same, so... Yeah, guess that didn't work.

Someone somewhere requested that I draw Talos trying to fit through a doggy door, but getting stuck, and having a cat push him in an attempt to get him in. So, uh, there you go.
Guess who keeps getting me through deep depressions?
I started drawing an octopus randomly, and then I felt compelled to draw it with a cup of tea and top hat, as if it were British. It was an odd compulsion. O.o

"Dear comrades, let us not forget our dear friends, the... cuttlefish." Well, it's octopus, not cuttlefish, but oh well. Om nom nom.
I was rather hot at the moment.This is actually an old depression doodle from back when I sprained the tendon in my wrist. I don't know why I never uploaded it to dA, I really like it. Maybe I will.

Sorry, but I've been really busy with the whole... getting ready for my grandparents and dad to visit... type thing. I've been doodling in some of my spare time, but I'm too tired to scan anything now. They're holding Greek Fest at the Greek Orthodox Church right up the street from Soli's house... w00t for drunk Raciners staggering back to their cars after having way too much fun at the Fest. But, due to something that happened today, Soli's not in danger of dying from any health issues for now. Which is awesome, of course.
But... my older younger brother took a spill on is bike, and suffered contusions to both of his arms, and got pretty scuffed up. We thought he'd broken his elbows, but luckily that doesn't seem to be the case. My mom texted me for the first time (from the ER, too) today. I was so proud, even if they were only 3 words maximum. x3 She was telling me to make pasta for dinner... which I did, of course, being a dutiful son.
Anyway, I really didn't have much time to draw today, unfortunately. Here's the best stuff that I churned out today.A weird, severely disproportionate Soli anthro. He can be a total whuss sometimes... but I love him. And he's big for a Malamute, so I thought it'd be cool to draw him all muscular-like. This was originally going to be drawn with a gym background, but... I got tired of trying to tweak it, and abandoned to to even worse doodles.Soli, just starin' and smilin'.I started working on my collab with PW again... Now that I, you know, know how to do some basic digital art and stuff. Above was my first color scheme, but I think I like the old colors better, which are below.
I think I'm sticking with these colors for me again. I wonder what I'll devise for a background... after I color in the burgers first, of course.

Dog sitting

I've been dog sitting since yesterday (Thursday). Pollen was falling like snow in a blizzard here today, so I'm way too congested to really think up a decent entry. For anyone concerned, please pray for Soli... he ate a corn on the cob a couple days ago (Monday, I think it was) that his family accidentally left unattended, and he hasn't passed it yet. They can't afford for him to have another surgery... so if he can't pass it... Well, I'd rather not think about it at the moment.I've got this great drawing book, and this drawing on the bottom right is based off of one of the basic canine pose... thingies. You can still see the circles and cylinders that I used to construct it. Unfortunately... Today was one of those days where I woke up miserable... and only felt worse as the day went along. I wish I hadn't woken up today... that I'd slept through it, and that I would wake up tomorrow morning. Oh well, no sense in complaining about it now.Duh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh WOLFMAN! I swear, the B-52's made that first Batman themesong... it sounds like something they'd do.

I read some where that if you don't know how to properly draw an expressive position for a four-legged animal, quickly draw a human in the desired position, and that should help. So I did. I guess it really didn't help... I sorta liked the head, so I kept it.

Anyway... the hotel there did have the interwebz. Only, it was LAN (since WiFi is really unsecure)... I didn't feel safe logging on to any of my accounts any where, because I'm paranoid about someone stealing my passwords and what not. But I did watch one of the best action anime episodes that I've ever seen.... evar. For real. D: Check it out! Bleach Episode 166 (Japanese with English subtitles) It's awesome, srsly.
Um, onto some doodles... in chronological order.After watching some good ol' Soul Eater, I was in the mood to draw some swords... so I drew this here kinda classy one. :B (If I were a Soul Eater character, I'd definitely be a weapon... maybe a sword? XD) So... yeah, scribbled in the hotel some time yesterday before dinner.
Something that started as a basic thumbnail and became something more. I really enjoyed this... I've been tired and really congested ever since I got back to my house, so it was kinda like soothing art therapy or something. T'was ossim.Something that I started, but couldn't finish before dinner... so, yeah, stage 1 in a work in progress.

Sorry that this is so short, but I've got a 2 day trip starting tomorrow. I'm going to go see my Dad for Father's Day! 8D Unfortunately, I dunno if the hotel has the interwebz. Sorry guys... ...14 years ago... my first brother was born. Happy Birthday, young 'un! *dorky wave* :B
Anyway, today I actually bought something for myself (in addition to stuff for my brother... since I forgot to get him stuff until today.... whoops). I'd forgotten how good it feels to buy a little something for yourself. I bought the latest Bitter:Sweet cd, entitled Drama. Fun stuff... but I really wanted The Mating Game. TT__TT I wanted to listen to it on my trip to see my dad this weekend... but I guess I'll just have to wait to listen to that cd on the way to Pittsburgh in a few weeks.
Anyway, on to the art stuff that I've done today...Look familiar? I should hope so. I tried shading it in The GIMP while I was on my parent's computer (the birthday boy was borrowing the laptop at the time). I forgot to shade his tan parts (belly fur and muzzle). Oops. Guess I'll get the .xcf off of my parent's computer, and fix that... tomorrow.Yeah, I saw that shirt drawn on some character somewhere on deviantart... couldn't get it out of my mind, dangit. Anyway, yeah, I've had to wear my splint every once in a while lately, because my wrist has really been killing me with all of these storms and stuff. So, yeah, some anthro practice... screwy hands, I know. Enjoy.

Anyway, just thought I'd update you with two things that I've worked on today. Oh joy.Just something that I started working on as preparation for PW's graduation present. It's practice on cleaning up sketches, coloring lineart, and stuff like that in the GIMP. It's not finished, but it's still just practice, so I don't expect it to turn out all that well anyway.Well, I was working on that practice for PW's graduation pic... so I couldn't resist trying out a Yonkama with PW as a chibi. Just a continuation on the Stitchwork Talos that had to continually sew his leg back together... Except this is a chibi doll, and he's losing his head instead of his leg.Something that I sketched to cheer up a close friend. It didn't work. Did I mention that today sucked really hard?I don't feel comfortable drawing a large picture, which is probably part of why this really stinks. The other half probably has to do with the fact that it was drawn at about 3 in the morning. Oh well, can't be helped. Hope Seff at least gets a smirk out of it or something.

I wish they'd fix my laptop right the first time. As of today, whenever I boot up my laptop, my monitor goes nuts. It doesn't display anything normally until a couple minutes after start up... then it's fine. I rebooted twice, and it still happens.
I wish that, instead of making sure that the machine passes "minimum hardware diagnostics", they would try and make an effort for my laptop not to die every month or so. What a total load of--you know what? Nevermind.
Anyway, as severe thunderstorms and tornadoes whiz by my county (for the moment not hitting my city), I've decided to make a blog update now, in case my laptop dies or the power goes out before tonight.
I scanned a bunch of old drawings that are just pictures here. Before I go on to posting them, I would like to make something crystal clear. These images are mine. I made them. My heart poured 'em out onto paper through my hand. You did not in any way make them; neither can you claim to own them, or anything stupid like that. Terribly sucky day... of doom and finishing landscaping

Today sucked big time... I'm still suffering from getting 2 not-solid hours of sleep yesterday. I woke up with a knot in my neck, and it's still there, although I massaged it out 3 times... it just keeps coming back, and making my neck stiff. Meh. At least I'm done doing all of that landscaping crap for my mom (until she comes up with some more for me to do... which will take her a day or so, hopefully). My body will appreciate the rest, hopefully.
Anyway, on to the good part of today. I read some of that Death Note novel, Death Note Another Note: The Los Angeles BB Murder Cases, by Nisio Isin. The elder of my two younger brothers bought it at B&N recently, and he's letting me borrow it so that I can read it quickly. It's only 176 pages, though... way too short. Especially since L's in it. The dialogue between Misora and L is awesome, and Mello is a better author/storyteller than I thought he would be. X3

When I was reading the manga series, I actually thought to myself whether or not I would use one if one fell into my possession... and I decided that doing so would be heinous, even if I tried to reason that my motives for murdering a person were "good". When people die should be left up to God, and it is.
Dudes... srsly. And, yes, that's how you write Death Note ("Desu Noto" in Japanese) in Katakana... so says the front cover and logo of all of the Death Note manga volumes.

But here you go anyway. I'm too exhausted to talk about my day, other than that it was exhausting.A gift drawn for my Danish coyote bud when he was feeling down this morning (well... it was lunch time in Denmark). My city has the largest concentration of Danish bakeries in North America (or so I've heard... but I believe it, they're all over the place here), and sometimes competing bakeries will have samples of their Kringles and stuff for you to try. So, here's Temper, trying our wares, seeing if they compare to what he gets at home.A sketch of Temper that I did in the van, outside the SC Johnson world headquarters building (my mom is one of their local tester peoplez). It's crappy because I'd just gotten out of the optometrist, where the lady flashed that bright light around in my eyes... causing some nice strain. Plus, the sun was in my eyes (no sunglasses >__<), and my pencil wasn't sharp enough. Yes, I realize that it looks really weird... but this is what comes from me after less than 2 hours of sleep. XD;
From the same sketch session as the last sketch. I inked it... 3 minutes ago. Joy.

I love Wisconsin. If it's not tornadoes, microbursts, hail, and severe thunderstorms one day, it's flooding and having 60 citizens in your town evacuated from their homes. Loverly.
Anyway, the flooding brought about a nice change in my house that I think you'll all enjoy (unless you don't like my art... in which case, why are you reading this?). I moved the computer upstairs into the living room and set it up for my mom... and now I have the scanner in my room, since I use it the most, and it wouldn't exactly work down there. W00t.
So, yeah, all of the pics will be scanned from now on. Exciting, no? I did sketch some stuff today, but I'm only going to submit the best thing that I produced over this past 24 hours:

Well, today really sucked. XD; I'm not going to go into it or anything, but it was pretty bad. I didn't doodle much... and my camera's batteries just died. x__x So I guess you only get to see these two today:Schizo Talos - Yup, it's another Secondary personality/design for Talos (you know, like Emo Talos and such). This is the version of Talos that you saw with Mildred (the skull) yesterday. He's schizophrenic in that he thinks that Mildred is still alive, treating her skull as if it were her. He hears her voice and all of that other schizophrenic stuff. He's smart... but has a tendency to snap and turn homicidal at the most inopportune moments (hence the blood bath in his first appearance yesterday). So, um, yes... moving along...
Just a sort of shout out. It's got a little story/saying thing behind it that goes something like this: I love you. You were such a huge part of me and my life that when I had to leave, I left a piece of me with you. I look different now, but I know now, too... I love you. If we ever see each other again, would you return that piece of me, just for a little while? I want you to keep it... couldn't you stay with me forever, and fill this hollow space in my heart? I love you.

So, yeah, without getting into the weirdness of my day (since I'm sure you don't want to hear about it, and I don't really wanna talk about it), I'll just move onto my doodles for this morning. I'm going to continue sketching... but it's probably not gonna be stuff that I'd put up on the interwebz anyway, let along my art blog. So, here we are:"Mildred! My love! You've come back to me, at long last! Oh, my love! I was so lost without you!" - Kind of funny story behind this. Back in Kentucky, my mom took me to Big Lots to shop during the Halloween season. I found a skull there, and I went around the store, bonding with her (my mom takes a long time to shop, sometimes). I named her Mildred... she was my muse. And my mom wouldn't let me buy her. Hee hee, another Bunnylabs blob. I love these things, they're so much fun to draw. Props goes out to Taoren for inventing Bunnylabs. :3

Tornadoes, SAT Scores, and other such nonsense...

So, yeah, a tornado touched down a mile or so away from my house today, during one of those massive storm systems that kept brewing over Northern Illinois and pounding us up here in Southeast Wisconsin. We got some bouts of torrential rain and some microbursts (bursts of wind up to 125 mph) at my house, but no hail like other people did. But enough about that...

I got my SAT scores back today. Without telling you my actual scores, I'll read off how well I did opposed to last year's college-bound seniors. Cryptic, I know. In Critical Reading, I scored higher than 96% of last year's college-bound seniors; Math, I did better than 31%, and on Writing I did better than 77% of them. They advise that I not take them again, because a large percentage of students that take their SATs again after getting my score either stay at or score just below they did where I am... so... I dunno. I'm taking the ACTs again next year, so maybe I should take the SATs again? Or maybe I shouldn't flirt with potential disaster like that... hmm... Well, anyway, moving along...
First, some old stuffs:
These are paper furdoll concepts for my friends PW and Seff. I modeled them after my furdoll for Talos (you can hang all 3 of them from two points... or, at least, that's the idea). I may or may not make real ones. Dunno.
This was practice for Talos's life story comic. I've never drawn him without his markings being tatooed/dyed. This is what he looks like underneath. The dye and tattoos were placed over them ornamentally before he left the human tribe he'd been living with. His birth pack inflicted the scars on him as a sign of his future status in the pack. :B So, uh... that'll all be explained in the comic. Sorry, but it's gonna take a long time to finish... I'm lazy like that. Anyway, onto what I sketched really quickly about 5 minutes ago. XD;

We-e-e-ell... My tiny sketchpad of love got full of my sketches, and she won't let me put any more in her, so... I had to go out and get a new one behind her back. >_>; I'm not proud of what I did, but I did what I had to do. If you're reading this, tiny sketchpad of love, I still love you~~~~! ;w; But you limited capacity has forced me to move onto a much larger sketchpad.

My old sketchpad is 5.5" x 8.5" (that's 12 x 21.6cm, for those of you outside the US)... and my new one is 9" x 12" (22.9 x 30.5cm). HUGE. I'm sort of intimidated by all of the space... but, anyway, onto the only thing that I've put in it so far:

One of my best friends that I've ever had/will ever have, PinoyWolf, is graduating from High School sometime this week! So I'm trying to get him a graduation drawing done on time. What's that? Me, getting something done on time? Hey... it could happen. And I sure hope it does, because I wanna make a really awesome gift for my best friend.... and I want to get it to him on time, dangnabbit. X3
Just a random picture that I decided to take of my 3 erasers... the magic eraser is my favorite. I just bought the kneaded eraser, and we're not getting along all that well... because I don't usually draw thin, light, dainty lines, which this particular eraser seems to be designed to pick up. Pffft.

Dunno about you guys, but being tired at 2:25 is like a dream for me! o3o Anyway, here are this morning's doodles... all taken with my camera, sorry.

"Don't leave me" - meh. My best friend was hooking up his PS3 to the interwebz, and it kept kicking him off of Yahoo while it updated, so we didn't get to talk. Worst part is, he left at a sort of... well, not a good time in during our conversation. XD; I felt really guilty and all, and it lead to this little sketch.
Talos, sportin' a hoodie and b0x0rz... and a cigarette. I do not smoke, I never plan on smoking, and neither does Talos. Second hand smoking has done enough to my lungs as it is. Anyway... yeah, I just wanted to draw Talos blowing some kinda smoke, and since it wasn't all that chilly here today, I just decided to have 'im blowin' cig smoke. Do you like the wonky hand rail? I drew it myself. x3 Um, yeah, aside from that, this was kind of just an experiment in another way of drawing anthros... and a failed attempt at perspectives and suchness.
"Blech!" - My opinion of smoking. And an attempt at a snarling wolf/canine... which I really stink at drawing. XD; I think I'm getting a little better, though.

Awkward First Entry o' Doom. 8D

So, um, yes. Finally made the daily doodles blog... but I'm also going to be putting life updates in here and everything. You know, like I should be doing with my LJ. XD And I will, no worries to you LJers out there that may just so happen to read mine once in a blue moon.

Uh, anyhow, onto my first two image posts. 8D Um, expect some of these to be photos of pics early in the morning, and then scans later in the afternoon... since I do a lot of my drawing between 3 and 8, because I haven't been able to sleep lately. >w<; Anyway...

You can tell that they're politicians squabbling, no? Well, they are. And poor lil' chibi Talos, caught in between. This was a doodle brought about by my frustration towards politics... since this November will be my first time voting for a presidential election. w00t.

Based off of a poem that I read and did a report on back in the 9th grade. It goes something like this:

Today is 38 degrees
Too cold to swim,
Too warm to freeze...

I can't remember the rest, of course. Oh well. I know that it's sloppy and all, but I hope to clean it up and color it digitally in the GIMP.
